Utilizing mapping file

Hello, I’m confused about how to use the mapping file. I got the megan-map-May2020.db file from the downloads page, but I see that we need to use a .bin mapping file in the analysis itself. Is there something I need to do to the .db file before I can use it?

No, .bin and .abin files are deprecated. The .db mapping files replaces them all. To use the .db file, all you need to do is to unzip it and then provide it to MEGAN (or one of the megan tools). Open it like this:
